Thank you. Mr Lambert
32 Year 10 pupils are now well on their way to completing their Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Award. During the cooking session delicious food was being prepared including tuna mash and mayonnaise!!! Yes you did read correctly tuna mash and mayonnaise – it looked and tasted just as bad as it sounds! Expeditions will take place during the summer term so let’s just hope their tent pitching skills are better than their cooking.
The Year 10 boys are now half way through their Basketball season and are working extremely hard in training and matches. A fantastic result was achieved when The Wordsley boys convincingly beat Coseley 30-16!! Top scorer was Jordan Norris, along with Aaron Hope and Sam Cooper scoring 3 pointers!! Captain Sam Bridgens was delighted with everyone’s performance.
Great game lads – keep up the good work!
Miss Leeming

Merry Christmas from all at The Wordsley School.
Daniel Caines a Sky Sports Living for Sport athlete mentor visited our Olympic Squad on Monday 28th November to check in with our Follow the Flame project.
Daniel was so impressed with the work we are all doing at the Wordsley School relating to the London 2012 Olympics and sport in general that he has reported his findings back to Sky Sports Living for Sport, which is great news for us and a huge pat on the back of all our pupils.
The Olympic Squad (made up of Year 9 pupils) have run two sessions to Year 5 pupils at Peters Hill Primary in Amblecote. The sessions covered varied sports for the pupils to attempt from Basketball to Tag Rugby, with our Union Jack flag being signed by pupils of the fifth school to recieve a visit from our Olympic Squad.
The Squad will be visiting Belle Vue and Ashwood Park Primary schools in the new year- watch this space for future updates.
